Dumb Drunks at Bellator Fights Last Night!

I have a boxing match tomorrow in D.C. I don’t know the time or the place I guess I’ll find that out tonight when I go to the gym. I never care about the details. I just go when I’m told. This is totally the opposite of most fighters.

I never ask who it is or who they fight for, because I don’t care! I can’t stand it when people ask me those specific questions. I always answer with an irritated I don’t know or care. I also can’t stand it when someone asks me before a fight “are you ready?” I want to say get the Hell away from me please!!! No, I’m not ready I’m just fighting for fun, but it won’t be fun because I’m going to get my skull crushed because I’m not ready!! I wonder do people even think about the questions they ask?

I went to P.A. last night to see my teammate Wilson Reis fight in Bellator. Congrats to him he won, but while sitting there I got to hear all the nonsense from the crowd. Everyone in the crowd wants to coach but knows nothing and thinks they know everything. Not realizing that what they see on T.V. is not that easy. It’s like going to a batting cage thinking you can hit the ball because you have seen it done on T.V. or because you can hit the ball far when your friend pitches it. Guess what he’s not a professional pitcher!

Ben Askren 2008 wrestling Olympian also fought last night. Before his fight they showed an interview of him saying that since he was fifteen he can count on one hand the amount of days he doesn’t train a year. Do you understand that he is saying at the least he trains 360 days a year! Master Lloyd immediately looked over and said “All Outliers are like this! No exceptions!!”(Outliers= people who’s results lie far outside of the norm) For five rounds Ben took him down over and over effortlessly. People are screaming at Ben from the crowd telling him to fight like a man and telling the other guy what to do not to get taken down. This was crazy and showed that they knew nothing about an Olympians skill set and had no chance of respecting it. They had a better chance trying to tell a cardiologist how to perform a heart surgery! Clueless!

I’ve told you guys that before the tradgedy hit I use to study and train all day. Since it happened I haven’t been able to focus the same. I have never had this problem in my whole life! Listening to Ben made me realize that I have to do something to get my mind totally back. Even though I still do a lot more than most people, its not enough to get me where I want to be. “The Best In The World”

Even though Ben Is great wrestler and Olympian he still didn’t get the gold medal. Jay Z said something on a rap song with Lil Wayne-Mr.Carter, that I will quote. I’ll give a goat credit for that one thing they said that makes sense even if I disagree with everything else. He said “Young Carter go further go farther go harder is that not why we came if not then why bother!” What Ben said last night really hit home and reminded me that I can’t let the things of life slow me down. He’s human so I will bet my life that he had disasters to hit his life somewhere in those other 360 days. Maybe someone died and he had to go to a funeral, but he still made time to train and not make an excuse, like the rest of the world. I believe these are the things that set the average apart from the great!
