I Feel As Rusty As An Old Nail!!
Training is super tough right now. I have gotten out of the habit of working out. It doesn’t seem like the habit wants to come back!!
It’s so different being back now. I get to see just how much I’ve missed. There are so many new people. There are also so many old ones that have gotten so much better. I use to have hard rolls with some key people. Now it’s a hard roll with almost everyone! My body is so beat up and when I’m rolling its feels like I’m just trying to survive. It’s probably because I am! I also feel really rusty when I can’t remember how to do simple things that I use to do.
My plan is to wait a couple weeks before I start sparring in boxing or MMA. I’m waiting to ensure that I don’t reinjure myself again. I feel that since my muscles are not as strong as before, coming back sparring with people blasting at 100% is only asking for another injury. Not to mention that my stamina and muscle endurance sucks!! I would just be a piñata. (lol) Working on the bag and mitts is torturous for me because my arms and lungs burn so bad. I’ll keep pushing because I know the tides will turn!
