My First Day Back In Maryland
This is my first day back in the gym. My body is a little tired. My back is super tight from the long ride and unloading. Overall I think the shot is working pretty well. I seem to be at about 90% minus the stiffness.
I was super excited about going into the gym. I feel like a kid in the candy store. I’m trying to prepare my mind to accept that I’m going to get the crap beat out of me for a while until I get back into shape. The stamina needed for each discipline is totally different. I can get in boxing shape and feel like I weigh 400 lbs in jiu-jitsu and wrestling and vice versa. Nothing translates over! It really sucks that I was in great shape before and have nothing to show for it now. Coming back like this really messes with me mentally. Even though I know I will be back in shape in about a month and a half, I still don’t want to be beat up on by everyone until that time. I also know that Master Lloyd won’t take it easy on me because I’ve been out so long. Knowing him, he will put me with the best people at my weight to push me mentally and physically. This will force me to get into physical and mental shape pretty fast because they are going to try to kill me! Seriously!!!
